Wonderful

I've stayed at the waterfront hotel twice now, and it has become my favorite whenever i go to kuching. I love their location (mall is right next to it with close proximity to the waterfront). I also love their breakfast spread, room size and general ambience.

I think the housekeeping can improve a bit more by more thoroughly celan the room daily and top up the shower gel.

Decent but probably would have chosen another hotel if i have a chance

Gym facility is good; the integration with the mall (Plaza Merdeka) is very convenient

The property feels old. The room is clean but old… There are stains and proof of old age in the room

It was great basic hotel room and within walking distance to attractions

Location, facilities, cleanliness and friendly staff.

Didn’t have spare toilet paper in the room.

It was a pleasant stay but just a little bump

The breakfast spread and the staff, good hospitality especially at the breakfast due to I cant carry hot beverages so the staff helps me to carry them. It is also close to Plaza Merdeka, so you do have grocery stores and other essentials nearby

There was a water disruption during our stay, around 10pm suddenly there was no water in our room.

The room is clean n well lit. The bed is so comfortable and it is connected with a shopping mall. The facilities are also maintained well.

Will definitely come back again.

Convenient to town area, clean and staff are friendly

Toilet sink hole stopper was faulty but it’s ok as sink is usable. I noticed there’s no buffet lunch/dinner. Only buffet for breakfast and for specific celebration dates only. It’s a pity as food served in the hotel is fabulous.

Our short but sweet stay!

It was the right pick of hotel for Kuching. So convenient a location, central in the city. Clean, well run and very spacious rooms. Thumbs up and will definitely come back again. Special mention to Abang Aidil for his attentiveness and help at check in and upon checking out.

Nothing ! Except if you ever need transport, just use Grab app to a car - DO NOT use a taxi ( was slaughtered 4x the actual charge by Grab, by one Kuching gentleman taxi driver arranged by the hotel, for a trip form the hotel to Kubah Ria market yesterday morning ). Shame on Kuching taxi drivers!

Excellent hotel, great location, great views of the nightly...

Excellent hotel, great location, great views of the nightly water and light show, good breakfast, lovely big room. Staff were very helpful arrange a late transfer from airport at short notice

The WiFi is useless in the room, we had a problem with our next hotel booking which was stressful enough but the constant loss of WiFi added to the stress.

Will stay here next time I come to Kuching

Breakfast was excellent. The staff was friendly. The hotel is located next to Plaza Merdeka which has a very nice food court and retail shops such as Parkson and H&M.

Location Infinity pool at 4th floor Brought us to 13th floor rooftop to watch the light display Welcome lemon-infused drink and the awesome oat cookies. Leave more cups there Most staff members are genuinely warm and helpful eg advised me where to get car park coupons for my rented car

The Waterfront hotel is excellent. The location is on the water front and close by the restaurants and shops. It is also next door to the shopping mall. All the staff is so friendly, professional and helpful. We loved staying there!

Still a good place to stay at ... but could be better!

This is the third time we have stayed at the Waterfront Hotel, Kuching, in less than a year. So, inevitably, some issues will be repeated … which also shows that feedback is not always taken into account  · Positives (1) The Waterfront Hotel, Kuching has a good location in terms of eateries and attractions. (2) The service while you are on-site is excellent. (3) The rooms are very comfortable. Some rooms offer excellent views of the Sarawak River and its surrounding areas. (I am starting my "negatives" here because what I have to share exceeds the stipulated 2,000 characters) · Negatives (1) The free Wi-Fi is very slow and frustrating. This is a major concern for us. (2) Pre-visit communication with the hotel is non-existent: this is the second time it has happened. Both times, I had to communicate via booking.com, which was not satisfactory. Each time I sent a message to booking.com, I received a response from a different booking.com staff. I ended up repeating the background and my query with each message – that is very wasteful of time. When I was finally at the hotel and raised the issues personally, I was asked if I had communicated with the hotel. My response was that my communication with the hotel has been constantly ignored.

· Negatives (continued from above) (3) The room door was not shut when we arrived at the room. Is there a security issue? (4) We were supplied with only bath towels. There were no hand and face towels. When I asked the Housekeeping staff outside the room, they said that they would deliver them to the room. However, after we had left the room and hotel and returned after almost two hours, the towels had still not been delivered. I stood by the Housekeeping cart till I was given hand towels. There were still no face towels, even on the second day. Has the policy regarding towels changed? (5) I learnt when I checked out at the end of this holiday that the hotel management has apparently changed its policy to include breakfast as part of the room rate. I am not sure why this has been done, but I dislike this policy for several reasons: (a) I eat lightly for breakfast; my son generally does not eat breakfast. (b) I would prefer local food and I would like to be able to choose/decide what I would like to eat each day. (c) Breakfast – especially buffet – generally ends latest at 10.00 am, and choices of food could be much reduced by around 9.30 am. This means that I have to get up early in order to be able to eat breakfast at the hotel. Having to get up early sounds very much like a typical work-day to me. I prefer to be able to get up later – around 9.30 am – while I am on holiday. (d) While on holiday, I do not like my time and activities dictated by others – I am an independent traveller, often travelling solo. (6) I really wish something can be done to the toilet seat – I do not like my flesh contacting the rim of the toilet bowl.

Located in the heart of Kuching just steps away from the...

Located in the heart of Kuching just steps away from the waterfront and next to a shopping mall. Stuff was always very helpful and the breakfast was also nice. Make sure to book a river view room as they have a beautiful view of the riverfront.

When we arrived the room was not properly cleaned, I had to complain at the reception to change the spotted towels. The WiFi was literally non existent during our stay and despite us complaining about it almost every day nothing has really happened. They did send up a maintenance guy to help fix it but he was also unable to get it work.

Generally a pleasant stay for my family.

It's next to a shopping complex and near sight seeing sites which are convenient. My kids like the swimming pool although it's a bit small.

My room door lock is sometimes not working. The shower holder is loose. Noticed water leak spots on the wall behind the reception area.
